Right now Humble Bundle has the Blender Market’s Essential Game Modding Toolkit. It has a bunch of amazing plugins like Retopoflow, Better FBX Importer Exporter, Face It, texture bakers, UV Packmaster, Scattershot, Blender to Unity, Blender to Unreal. It also has some base meshes for sculpting, fully rigged models for animating, more assets, modular scenes, tutorial, etc. all for $30
I’ve already bought most of these plugins, but still a super good deal for all the things I didn’t have.
Hum, how doesn’t that bundle work ? are you sure the original authors agreed on having their products sold there ?
It is through blender market. The original authors should get a cut. Humble Bundle would have had their butts sewed off a long time ago if they didn’t have it legally done.
Worth it for just UVpackmaster if you don’t have it
Worth it for the reforestation charity, too. Yeah, yeah, I know “individual action” and the “personal carbon footprint” is an excuse oil companies made up to shift the blame of environmental destruction to us plebs and away from the governments and companies that emit the most, but unfortunately none of us have as much control as we would like over said governments and companies, every little bit helps, and of course it doesn’t hurt to do what you can about the issue, especially if it means lower electric and/or gas fees for your household.
That UV packing add-on seems to be in the “environmental” spirit of the charity, too, coincidentally. Basically, it seems to make UV packing with just a CPU actually feasible with this addon while UV Packing with a GPU is actually as fast as you would suspect. Blender’s default packing tools are abysmally slow, no matter how much GPU power you throw at it.
It´s okay to purchase those bundles if you like the stuff or see it can fix a need you have. Other than that, you get fooled with a slightly modern version of indulgence trading.

The “eNvIrOnMeNtAl” spirit of climate offsetting “charities” like One Tree Planted is at best a lie.
EDIT; you had good intentions with your post and just wanted to promote that the connected charity seems to help the environment.
If you look deeper, it´s just a barely uphold mask of helping the environment.
Might be worth noting that the addons can’t be upgraded, it’s not mentioned on the Humble Bundle deal. Reading the reviews on Blender Market there seems to be quite a few unhappy customers.
ouch and on top of no upgrades, the offered Faceit is only the 1.8 Version not the 2.3 version.
Additionally Blendermarket now takes 35% from creators for every sale.
Blender addon licenses and stipulations are just too complicated for me, considering the whole point of downloading them is to speed up certain workflows or make up for Blender’s weaknesses. Might as well just get accustomed to the quirks of working with regular Blender or using separate software like 3DCoat or Nomad (sculpting app).
Dang it. Of course another so-called environmental charity has latched onto the “AI” bandwagon just like many dubious charities latched onto the NFT bandwagon before it. Oh well. I’ve learned to work with default Blender’s quirks, anyway, and there’s no guarantee any of this stuff will be compatible with the specific fork I use (BforArtists with “Industry-Standard” Maya-esque hotkeys).
I’m also well aware that AI (as well as that crypto fad before it) consumes far more energy and requires tons of servers (and even water to cool off the servers, apparently), just not as aware until now that carbon offsetting is basically yet another excuse for resource-wasting companies to keep doing what they’re doing without any behavior or lifestyle changes (While asking the rest of us to make those sacrifices, instead). Meh.
After coming from the little bit of a mis-fire BlenderMarket had with the “free gifts celebration” situation, I was a little cautious about this bundle as well.
I did find a reddit post about Humble Bundles where people discuss this one though. Yeah, no updates included. Which might be fine if Blender didn’t move so FAST.
I get it. I’m a little disappointed, but I get it. Think I’m better off just buying relevant add-ons I need when BM does their big sales, it sounds like.

I wasn’t seeing these negative reviews on the add-ons themselves but then I realized…
Oh…Oh I see now…the bundle is its own specific item on Blender Market and people are…upset. 
Some simple disclosure about the situation would have gone such a long way. This is sad to see. 
I overall want to believe they’re doing their best to balance business and community, but there’s been a few awkward mis-steps lately that have us all feeling a little bitten…
They’ve also recently significantly increased the % they take from each sale, lessening how much creators get, and increased the monthly subscription price for creations… profits gotta profit I guess
Dang, even in the Blender community, people can and will make anti-consumer moves that gouge/punish customers and employees the moment consumers get a little complacent. I thought you at least had to get as big as Microsoft or even publicly trade on the stock market (and answer to shareholders) before the greedy temptations start popping up in your head.

I just requested a refund today as i had no idea when i bought the bundle that there would be no updates, i even looked for any small text anywhere because i felt like the price was way too good for what you are getting.
As some one also releasing an addon soon, I think I will completely avoid blendermarket.
I took a look at the blender market Creator terms for the first time last week, and was quite surprised how small of a percentage the Creator actually gets.
Also realized for the first time that blender market themselves are not the ones contributing to the blender fund…?
I knew that creators could mark a percentage to go towards blender funding, but for some reason I had assumed that the market itself was also contributing… Do they?
Honestly I looked at there platform today and i am in shock with how bad it is for creators, If it means i get less sales only being on gumroad im 100% fine with that, way too much time on it to get ripped off that hard.

I remember a few months ago I was buying an add-on, it was available on the market and gum. I just straight up asked them which one gave them a better commission, if there was any difference. They admitted gum road was better for them, and that’s where I bought it from.
So I was interested and just had a quick look. The Blendermarket fee’s, etc are pretty high, even if you pay for a monthly membership.
Compared to gumroad, which is just a flat 10%. You have to pay Blendermarket like $200 a month in order to get that and they still add a 4% fee on top.
So yeah, I have no doubt they said gumroad was better for them.
The Blendermarket is listed on the https://fund.blender.org page as a Gold member, which in theory is 30K a year. I assume that is purely from the Blendermarket owners directly and any amount that any addon creator also gives is in addition. At least with there fees it sure better be.
