I really like the idea of the image. It actually reminds me an old projec of mine with a similar story.
I think you should make the monster more visible, you barely able to see it.
Yeah right, the beast is invisible at first sight. There are a few things you could do to solve this:
. slighlty rework the composition to have the beast more centered or make the composition strength lines point to it
. Constrast its silhouette with the background : dark beast on more foggy(whitish) background
. Make it slightly larger
. Use a longer focal length lens to compress the different plans
