I am annoyed: Acasto, read this.

I would like to be able to access the control panel for my website, but it only works on the computer I registered with!

Tell me how to access it please!

(I would have put it on the iptic forums but when I pressed submit nothing happened)

What about e-mail and/or private messages ??

Stefano

I have to agree.

When you say control panel, do you mean the control panel, or the file manager module? The control panel usually dosn’t give any problems (unless you log in wrong 3 time in row, then your banned for a few minutes), but the file manager can be a pain in the butt. It is java based and dosn’t seem to work with everthing.

About the forums, I haven’t seen anything unusual, but I’ll keep an eye out. I’ve been doing some work and upgrading some things. Perhaps the forum issue was when I was restarting the database or something.

Oh well… let me know any detail like I mentioned above ;).

The problem is that I cannot actually enter the control panel at all from the computer other than the one I registered at.

The problem is most likely on that end because there is absolutely no connection involved between the registration and actually accessing it. When you register, it is just sending me and email with the information. So there is nothing pertaining to something in which filtering may occur. The server has no idea what system is accessing it compared to what system registered. Many people get on no problem with dynamically allocated ip address and have no problem.

I do have the control panel set up on SSL, so it could be the sercurity settings on your others PCs.
