i am trying to add a texture onto a material and be able to see both

i have a lego mini fig that i have set a mix shader w/ a diffuse and glossy material to. I want to keep both of these and then add a face using uv map. i feel like this is so simple and am somehow not doing it right. ive been trying for hours. i have finally given up. FOR NOW. anything that can help would be greatly appreciated.

hopefully this pic helps. I want to basicly place a png over the face and then another over the chest area. so i think i need multiple uv maps… Ive done this multiple times… i cant get it to work. PLEASE HELP> THANKS.
