So I tried to use proportional editing, and I can’t get it to stop doing the translation. I got it to work once, but I don’t know how. I also can’t adjust the radius of effect. I held the left mouse button and used the scroll wheel, but the circle representing the area of effect didn’t even show up. This was a lot less of a pain in the older versions.
You shouldn’t need to hold the left mouse button- just scroll to change the radius
Okay, however I can’t change the radius of effect. Right now it’s so big I it moves the entire mesh. And I can’t figure out how to make it smaller.
“O” is default key for proportional editing. When you scroll your mouse in Proportional Edit Mode, you should see, in top left corner of screen, radius of your Prop-ed, scroll up/down to check whether it raises or lowers, scroll as long as it goes to desirable size. Enjoy.
