Hi
… i have installed linux fedora 5 on my old pc .
the problem now is i want to install windows XP back , … but the problem is that when windows says press anykey to boot , it freezes after that , i think that the file system of the PC’s hard disk is not accepted by windows , …

where can i install free programs from the net and boot from the flash disk (can be achived by my mother board bios settinges) and then this program make my hdds 4 partitions 10 gegas each with the the file system ntfs or even fat 32 then i make it ntfs with windows xp cd …

this made me sick , help

Here is a very useful live cd for your tool box. You can partition your hd(s) in any flavor and much more. Don’t leave home without one.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that it works on a USB stick as well.

Well, for 1/4 gram of gold (I don’t believe in fiat monies) I will burn you one and send it off postage paid. Give em a PM if you are interested.

welcome to the wonderful world of linux.

If you resized your windows partition , please excuse my terminology ,but you are fucked.

you can recover files in general but as far as windows is concerned you are toast.
you can read NTFS filesystems from redhat fedora, and back them up.

sorry to hear about this.
