I can't rig a simple door

I really can’t understand Blender. I knew I would have a hard time trying to rig just one model. I’ve done everything to be able to move this door with an armature but, it just won’t move, not even in pose mode. I rotated the bone so you can see that it’s not moved.

I gave it an armature modifier, assigned it to the proper vertex group, and you can see that it’s fully weighted and still nothing…

Any help is appreciated.

Is your armature in Pose position or Rest position?
Also, is your door parented to anything other than the armature?

It’s in pose position. The door isn’t parented to anything.
So if I parented my door to the armature, it still wouldn’t be moved by the bone in pose mode, in object mode it will move but, not in a way that I want.

Check your bone have ‘Deform’ checkbox enabled. Or just upload your file I will see what’s wrong with your door.

With “easy” rigging objects like doors you do not need to weight paint at all.

Just select your object, then shift-select your armature, go to pose mode (if there are more bones) and select your bone which you want it to move, and the press CTRL-P → Bone. Then it works.

Ah. I’m just more used 3DS Max since I’ve been using it for seven years. Still trying to get used to Blender. Thanks.
