I don't know what to call my problem...

ok well… I recently made a mesh of this alien dud using subsurfs n such… and I finished him the other day in school and used the set smooth thing and it worked fine (blender 2.6 or sumthing previous to the 3s) and I emailed it to myself and opened it at home on 3.4 and when I rendered it his head had big blotches of black spots on it and it looks REALLY bad… I’m not sure what to call it… (HENCE THE NAME!) but ya the blend fil is here…

But any ideas… BTW C&C welcome on the modeling… JUST THE MODELING! the lighting and such were just to see it all and whatnot… :wink: thanks much!

Select the mesh, press ‘a’ to select all the vertices then press ctrl+n . This will recalculate all the normals to point outside and get rid of the patches.
