I don't see the rendering progress

hi guys, maybe it’s too late for this question but is just to know:
when i launch the rendering (BI 2.62), with heavy scene i don’t see the progress but the gray window only, because blender sets the depth channel mode… when the rendering is finished i can see the result…
it’s strange…

Sounds like you have enabled ‘Full Sample’ in the Render / Ant-Aliasing panel. If so, this is normal.

yes but only in last blender version…
the reason?

try un-tick free image textures, but you need it if you use “Full Sample”!

well, depends, what you are considering as previous release?
For example every milestone has its own settings, the 2.60 has its settings, the 2.61 has its own settings and so on; you probably simply miss the old settings because the new release create a new configuration file based on the default settings.

under a GNU/linux OS you can take a look at ~/.blender to see your default blend file for every release you are using.

i mean the 2.59, 2.60, 2.61.
i have to turn on full sample if i want to use defocus node with a “perfect” antialiasing, for example. but i don’t understand the reason of this change and wich is the usefulness.
