Heya, I’m Kourtney and I’m sadly fresh to Blender and all of it’s endless components. However, not so to the point where I don’t understand some of the basics.
So recently, after reading and watching many tutorials, I figured out how to do Blender Animations. And just to note I exported the animation as a sequence of PNG images and then used Blender’s video editor to then export the file into an AVI file using the H.264 codec.
And I AM in fact rendering a Minecraft animation. In the tutorials, it said turning “Mipmapping” off in the user preferences would show a clearer picture but ONLY in “Textured” view. While it didn’t matter all too much to me, I followed through and turned off Mipmapping. So I rendered an image to see it’s result before finishing the animation and I can’t say I’m all too pleased.
I gave the water a Glossy BSDF and used a Mix Shader so that it would reflect the surrounding area. I also gave the leaves, grass, and flowers transparency so that when the image rendered, the alpha channels would work correctly. But when everything was rendered… it was ridiculously blurred. Imagine if you have an image and you turn the sharpness all the way to the max. My render looks like a fuzzy TV screens, or as if it was made with sand.
Here’s a couple images that might help you see what I mean:
This is the image I took while in Camera View with Texture Mode on. You can see the tree leaves are still black in the areas where they should be transparent.
Here is the render from the exact same camera view, though you may not see the transparency, you can easily see the “sandy” like texture of the render itself. The same applies for the entire map when rendered.
I have been using “Cycles Render” instead of “Blender Render”, if that affects anything.
I was able to get the plot of land using a program called “Mineways” which exports selected areas of a Minecraft world into an OBJ file, which you can then import into Blender.
Can someone please answer this if they know the issue? I’m totally lost ;-;
