I just noticed a teeny red-ish dash on my screen. No matter how I rotate my scene or pan it, the red dash remains in the same spot.
At first I thought it was my Wacom Cintiq screen but when opening another Blender file the red dash is not there. So it is somehow attached to this particular file.
Does anyone have an idea of what it might be, and if so, how I can delete it?
The only thing I know that puts a dot like that ( not including some add-ons) is selecting Preferences > Input > NDOF > Show Navigation Guide…
But its not a Red Dot on my system but yellow ( Color Blind so not exactly sure)
which makes it less likely but i’ve seen a lot of threads like this and it ended up a loose geometry (a bunch of orphan vertices/edges).
does the color changes based on selection.
delete objects and see if it disappear with one of them. Ctrl+Z delete another maybe you will find that it’s related to one object in the scene. and take it from there
Thanks for the reply cgPixel. After checking, it is not a loose part. The color does not change. It cannot be selected. There are only two objects in the scene. Thanks again…I appreciate your taking the time to offer help.
Can you upload the .blend here? Delete anything you can’t or don’t want to share of course. Even if you have a workaround it would still be interesting to solve this mystery.
Maybe its just an annotation. Check in the right sidepanels of the 3d viewport in view tab under annotations if you accidently created one and if delete it there.
Thanks AlphaChannel and Debuk. I have already deleted the file with the red dash but next time I will check what you have recommended. Again, thanks for the replies!
