All the materials I’ve tried look great on a single object. They suck on Arrays. They all use Object coordinates so the UV offset feature of the array modifier is of no use with them.
Does anyone know of one?
I need something with this much variety when applied to an array of cubes:
tbh I don’t know if it works well with the array modifier, but it uses Generated coordinates.
However if you’re applying the coordinates separately you can probably just try to map the “OakGroup” shader group in there however you need it, rather than using the whole “floor” shader that uses a Brick texture.
I used up my blendswap quota for the month earlier today. I’ve been going from oldest to newest through the site so I’ve downloaded your maple and red oak materials before but did not yet come across that one.
The material should have some method of randomizing a lookup offset. I.e. using brick color output to add to the coordinates. Try replacing the driver for that with Geometry/Random Per Island.
