I need to “copy the rotation” or use the y rotation of a bone that is stretched or rotating by use of target.
So the bone is rotating fine between two empties… (either by stretch or target)
But i need to “copy the rotation” of THAT angle to another object. I tried constraints and drivers. No luck. I assume its because the bone “stretch” isn’t actually recording an f-curve?
If someone knows how I can use the rotation of the bone that is stretched, you’d be amazing and I’d thank you very much in advance if you would tell me.
Can you post a example blend of what you need to do? That would help us help you. What where the issues with drivers and constraints? Do you have an idea why they did not work? What space (Pose, Local, Transform or World) where you using in your constraints and drivers?
I guess it was working but not as I expected. Attached is screen shot showing that the Cube is rotating according to angle of the bone which is stretched between 1 moving empties as I wanted.
I only expected the y cords to be updated visually (I guess they only update if you have keyframes?) Also I expected that I would need to “copy the Y rotation” check box but a combo of x and z checked give me the results I need.
