I’m building an exhibit booth and need to be able to export a parts list for pricing, but I can’t seem to be able to find a way to do this. Does anyone know if there is a script for doing this? I’m just looking into Python now but would be open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
Got an example of what you would expect the exported part list format to look like?
What I’m looking for is to get the object name as well as a part number that’s associated with that object in order to present. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I’m currently looking into BIM add on.
what is a part number though? where does that information come from? you’re talking inside baseball, we aren’t familiar with your workflow so you’ll need to be more detailed. Show us a screenshot of your outliner, and then mock up what the part list would look like based on that screenshot. Make it as easy as possible for us to help you.
Yeah you have to show us your objects and how they are stored in the blend file for us to properly export the list.
Is the part number in blender? Or do we have to fetch that from somewhere else?
