I Need To kNow How To Have A Meta Tube NOT Tapered.?!

I have a client that I am making a model for… and I have made a metatube composite of a chemical compound of medicine… and need to know how to make the ends of the metatubes to not be tapered/smooth… I actually need it only slightly smooth/chamfered… I really need it to be more of a flat end on the metatube… can this be done??? I need to know otherwise I need to remake the model as normal cylinders…

I also kind of need to know quickly because I need to get it to him in a few days…

increase threshold to .7

Rogers´ sharpen the edge with Shift+e is good.

Or you could also do a Loop Cut with Cntrol+r (or k cut via k key menu) right near the edge of tube, but make sure you have the Tubeś vertices selected first otherwise it won´t cut.

Well I tried the threshold, and all that seems to do is make the tubes skinnier, but it does not change the smooth round end of the tube, to make it flat…

I have not tried the “k” button, but the loop cut for me just adds the vertices… not what I am going for… and I could not see anything happening with “shift - e” what do I do for that…

so still is there any other way to make the ends of the meta tubes flat?

I’m sorry i wasnt clear. With the green ring selected, play with threshold and wiresize:
