too funny. I would make the screen recessed and flat tho. And the word Menu looks like it is tilted the wrong way. And I think Apple would make the base solid, not pokey little legs.

good work dude!!!
I can see a problem in the monitor: the words and the blue strip are deformed

fix that and do like RogerWickes said and It’ll be muuuch better!!!

Thanks for the reactions ,i am working on it. :spin:
I send a update so soon as possible.

Hi, looking good, though I’d delete those leggs. Will look ten times better without them.

That’s the cool screensaver for i’sphere

I try this ? what you think ??

hehe, I like it.
I would suggest putting it on a totally white background though, and for the sake of looking like an apple product, making all solid parts white (I like the reflective part of the gray material, good job). Then brighten up the image a bit and WHAMMO!
just suggestions!

Good job.
Murphy

Nice one! I like the concept!

Are you using Ambient Occlusion? If not, try it. I think it would give it a nice touch.

Keep it up!

Thanks for the comments,i try the “whammoo” effect  but the lightening is not easy.
And yes, i use the AO,at 16 , plain.
My english is not railly good so sorry for the brief answords.:frowning:

I think it needs a flat base, rather than the wire.
For instance, a UV sphere with just a bit of the bottom cut off and made flat.

Looks good though, solid idea.

Give pictures, I am bound to see. (modified quote from Hamlet)
Follow the C&C alreay stated, and you’ll have a nice I sphere.

WOW!!!
Much better now!!! Keep the good work!

That’s pretty sharp dude.

Regarding the base, I don’t think it needs to have wires, or to be flat.

If this is supposed to be something approved by Steve Jobs, it would probably be pefrectly round, but designed to be heavier on the bottom so that it would always roll into an upright position. Like a Weeble!

Just a thought…

Nice concept, but it still looks a lot like a sphere with a texture :)…

Why not try to model the screen? This would get rid of this pesky deformation.
Plus a more detailed model would look better for the sphere site.

Try to cut in the sphere, build the actual thing

 and no, I don’t think Jobs is ready for that one. He already had a bad experience with a cube :stuck_out_tongue: so a sphere…

Make sure the menu is sharp. The title is unsharp because of the deformation.
The AO is a bit grainy.
But great model.
P

Try setting the AO to “both”. The lighting lacks a bit of contrast, and that’ll add it - maybe
even too much, so that you’ll have to compensate a bit by adding extra subtle lights.

Looks better and better!

a quick render, working on light and color

Very nice progress! Darker shadows give the whole thing a less floating feel. Keep it up!

Maybe also experiment with DOF(Depth Of Field) with nodes later (especially with the new
sweet defocus node in next release). Would add a nice more photographic touch. I don’t know
if there is much documentation out there yet, but it’s not going to be long before there is…

Check it out.
