i suck in texturing

hi,

after many hours i have finally finished moddeling my two headed animal (?). Now i have to texture it, but i really suck at texturing. Could i please have some hints and tips on how to texture properly?

Another question that i have is how do you add an alpha channel to a targa image?

what do you mean with texturing properly?

ingiebee has the old nan tutorials.
there is a tutorial called “texturing a castle”
