Ice scythe model

Hello

I’mm a beginner in 3D modeling and blender. Here is my first modeled weapon without tutorial.
When you look from the side the ice crystals are too fat cause I used plane meshes and mirror modifiers. Any idea how to fix this?

Is it ok to not texture it? I haven’t tried to texture paint something yet and don’t know a lot about materials either.

What do you think about it? How could improve?

Thank you^^

you can try to scale your model only on the axis that is to fat.
i would make a new material for it and use a glass shader for it as start, the ior for ice is 1.31 iirc.
you can make a roughness map for it to make the ice then more interessting.

your lighting is not bad,but i would try a hdri map for lighting and more interessting backround (maybe the weapon on a frozen lake or something)

the weapon looks nice, very blizzard like

Hello

Thank you so much for the good tips. That’s a really big compliment cause I’ve never done something like that.^^

Do you have any suggestions for tutorials? I don’t know how to make textures or shaders yet.
