I feel it’s also important to make a general statement concerning the BGE.
The BGE is used primarily by “game developers”, not “game engine developers”. Anything beyond GLSL shading supported through the existing Shader API requires the latter. The same goes for any other feature that isn’t mentioned in the features list.
The only people who will implement these features are game engine developers, and the only way you’ll find one is to learn for yourself.
