I’m looking to create something similar to the 2D image bellow but in 3D. I’m kind of at a loss as to how I would do it though.
Here is my idea, create the mesh for the body as one normally would. Create the bones inside of this mesh . Invert the normals of the body and do backface culling so that only the faces of the body behind the bones would appear no matter what angle you look at it from.
Does this seem like a reasonable approach?
