IK Armature and Limits - joint flipping issues

Hey there, I’m experiencing this issue with the IK system. Normally I’d expect the rig to be bent as in the first two frames, but it flips to the straight position (or just a mirrored one - if the limits are off) right after it goes through 0 on Y (i.e. under the root of the IK chain).


Can this be resolved without having to use workarounds like additional bones etc. ?

Never mind, I’ve realized I don’t really need to move it in Blender, the target engine can more than handle the IK.
