IK constraint enhancement?

Following recent development of IK constraint http://www.blender.org/development/current-projects/changes-since-245/inverse-kinematics/ it maybe useful also to add the possibility to the Stretch button of the Armature Bones panel (allows scaling of the bone for IK) to decide which axes of the bones will scale.

This would solve actual situation in Blender when stretch tools in fact scale the bone which is not what usually is expected from stretching function. :spin:

But as he said (and me hereabove) this only tries to solve strange and tricky function of stretch button in Armature Bones panel which in fact unfortunately does not stretch but scale the bone along its all three axes.
