I’m currently working on an arm of a 3D Char. I rotated the (shoulder, arm) with the FK (IK-FK 1.0) bone on (global) x, y and also on z axis. I then snapped the IK chain to FK. Now, as soon as I switch back to IK-FK 0.0, it falls into the previous pattern on (ONLY) the z axis…
Can someone explain to me, what I’m missing here?
I don’t wan’t the z axis to move back to it’s previous position… How can i lock the z axis here?
-Unfortunately, I can’t add a picture because it’s a business project-
If I’m understanding you properly-- which I’m not sure I am-- then I would need a file to figure out what’s going on.
If this involves info you can’t share, then I’d recommend making the minimum simple file you can make that still reproduces the problem. Such a file doesn’t need to include any meshes, but you might just make a quick cylinder arm so people can see the issue better.
If you’re running into problems, reducing to the minimum necessary to reproduce the problem is an important troubleshooting step anyways, so it’s not even extra work to do so.
