Ik Rigging Problems in Blender 2.56

Following the Rigging an Alien Tutorial…
My Rigging of the foot has been good so far… but the problem i am expereincing is not attachign Ik constraints to it…
I do the same thign the video said…
But now if i move my controller bone… it goes Out of Bounds… and hops and hops… i cant control the controller Bone :frowning:
PLease help

try not adding a target to the ik, just set the chain length to 2 or 3, depending if its linked to head or tail.

Ya, I had to watch the video several times over just to get this right. So on the Shin.L add an IK Constraint Target=Skeleton, Bone=Ankle.L (not the IK_Foot.L). Then Ankle.L is parented to the Foot.L, Foot.L is parented to the IK_Foot.L. Lastly IK_Foot.L is parented to the MasterBone.

On my rig the Ankle.L is a bone that comes out the back of the heel. The IK_Foot.L is a bone that comes out the bottom of the heel. Hopefully the screen shot helps …
