I'm new and I'm trying to create a fire here? help please?

I’m following this tutorial.

However, my particles are on my plane… but they won’t move vertically to create that smoke!! How do i fix this?

(Oh god I hope i posted in the right section, this guy, I think he’s an admin has been stalking me… telling me I’ll be in big doo doo! if I post again in the wrong section- cuz i posted in the wrong section 8 times today.)

try this, theres lots of dated tutorials there http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro/Making_Fire they have been working on updating it but after a while it merely confuses the noob and makes him go…elsewhere that is. But it’s a good start
