Image based Modelling.

Hi All,
I am a new to blender. I am a matchmover cum compositor. I stared using blender last week and am loving it. After matchmoving when I go to the 3d view I’m able to place my objects perfectly. The only problem is when I’m modelling it precisely I have to zoom in into the image(without changing the camera data ) which I’m not able to do.

Ex : In maya we have a script called zoomrator that helps in doing so.

Is there any way of doing it in blender ?

Thank You All

Could you just swap screens to the default screen layout and model in close there, and then swap back to your motion tracking view? Zoom in one window doesn’t affect the other windows.

Thank You for the reply. But When I have to model to be built, with the reference to the image, through a calibrated camera, without seeing the image I can’t model it.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding your problem, but if you are modelling in a camera view you can zoom in and out using the mouse wheel as usual, and it does not change the camera parameters. If you have a model correctly aligned to a background image, it will remain aligned as you do this.

Best wishes,
Matthew

Thank You so much MCollett…

also when you zoom in if your model is low res it may not help!

might be easier to use curves modelling and try to get smooth lines more or less following the model!
and get a nicer smoother model

show us some pic may be to see your problems

salutations

Ok I’ll post some images very soon…
