Image from another software as a backgroung image ?

Hi,

I want to use some pictures made with a fractal software (ie ultrafractal : www.ultrafractal.com) directly in Blender (for example as a background image for compositing).
(using Nodes ? or with Python code ?)

How can I do this ?

With an OSC protocol ? Another idea ?
