Image sequences don't play in 2.8?

I can see image sequences update and play properly in 2.79, but not in 2.8? Is it broken for anyone else?

I wanted to do some grease pencil rotoscoping.

Its not broken, but rather not implemented yet.

Thanks for the replies. You would think with all of the insane things Blender 2.8 can do, this feature (which has been in 3d softwares for 20 years) wouldn’t be a problem.

I personally hope they fix it soon, as I’m working on a chromakey nodegroup for material nodes which will be meaningless until you can have videoclips running on planes in eevee.
