I have an image texture with alpha (Texture.001) applied to an object (Plane). The texture renders on the object very faint, far more transparent than the alpha values reflect. Help thx?

I am no expert and its kind of hard to tell what your intention are from the file. But generally you want the second texture to only effect the alpha channel, so switch off the color influence. Also set your material to be transparent and dial down the alpha to zero. Now using the alpha value in the texture influence area, you can adjust the alpha’s influence on the material. Hope that helps.
BTW you can pack you textures in the blend file so they will be embedded in your example.
No… I want the image texture to appear on top of the other texture. I just want the alpha to be phased out. And setting the material alpha to zero makes the material invisible…
Yes. What did you do differently?
Hrm Someone likes Descent
It’s top secret I just put it on a plane.
AFWS: Thanks… still curious why the other way wasn’t working properly.
PyroGXPilot: I’m in the beginning phases of a spiritual successor. I’ll pm you when I have a solid foundation of material to show =D
