Image Texture

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting in this forum. I have googled tons of questions before and the solutions here worked amazingly well. So I’m here to post the question where I really can’t find the question/solution anywhere and I have encountered it almost all the time since I started learning blender last week.

I could have done wrong while modelling or something, but please help/suggest anything for me to solve this problem thank you in advance!

Scenario 1:

The faces I have pointed to with the red arrows are from the same cube.

Scenario 2:

No matter how I adjust the scale, the texture just don’t tile properly.

Whenever this happened, I just have to accept it and use a base color which I feel I shouldn’t, I should at least find out the solution so there won’t be any problem in the future.

So if there are any kind soul out there who could help me, I gladly appreciate it so so much

Thank you in advance!

You have supplied no blend file with your post !!
Please do so for ALL support questions.

First remove all the unnecessary crap from your scene so we don’t have to wade through all your clutter . Only supply the minimum that still clearly demonstrates the problem. Before saving this file ensure to pack all textures in your blend file from the File / External Data menu (without this we won’t be able to see any of your textures so will be wasting our time) and enable ‘compress’ in the save settings (so we don’t have to download files larger than they need to be). Then upload to http://www.pasteall.org/blend/ and reply with the download link

Uncheck the “Min” and “Max” boxes in your Vector Mapping node. Those stop the texture from tiling, which you probably need to do with a surface as large as yours.

More than that, I think you either want to get into UV Mapping for your textures, or at least try an Object mapping approach. I have a tutorial I did a while ago on it. It’s not particularly in-depth, but it shows the difference between Generated and Object mapping. Generated is more finicky when you’re trying to do some detailed texture mapping. https://youtu.be/9SzEPoiaOa4

Hi, sorry about that, I don’t know if I did it correctly… but here’s the download link

Thanks!

watched the tutorial, helped me understood the difference better, but after I uncheck the min and max boxes, it doesnt solve the problem
