Image textures end up streched in object and rendered mode but not in edit mode

I have a Bottle mesh i have textured but the lower part of the bottle texture is ending up stretched in render and object mode. when i go to edit mode, the texture is displayed properly. I have unwrapped the model and the texture still is stretched irrespective of the image texture i use. i have noticed that this only happens when an image texture is used and not a procedural one like nosie or musgrave.

If you turn on the two options marked with yellow arrows then you will see in Edit mode what is actually happening. You can fix it by adding an additional edge loop just above the one with the seam
