image textures is save to hard drive are not options to select on blender

well that pretty much sums it up. i make sure i go to the exactly place i saved my file and make sure it is compatible with blender and everything nut only the older images left on my computer are options in blender. i dont have the same problem with .blend files. i use windows 7

Hi,

In order to open your saved image textures, you have to pack them. That is an option you can find at UV editor.
