Image thumbnail appears in Image list, but not in Image Editor?

Here’s a screenie, showing the proper image thumbnail in the image list, BUT the image doesn’t show in the Image Editor:

Obviously the software HAS the image (it constructed a thumbnail), so why isn’t it showing up in the Editor?
