What image formats can be used as textures because I’ve tried .tif, .gif, .bmp, and .jpg and non off them show up when I go to import the file.
Blender will not import image maps from other programs or export them. You will need to reapply them in Blender.
Actually to use an Image as a texture it must be: TARGA or JPEG format, then, you select the object you want to texture, you add a material, if necessary, you add a texture to the material, you go in that texture window and select, as texture type, ‘Image’ then you select an image with the file button beneath…
when you reach the limits of this, search for UV-texturing methods, as well as placing the image with an foreign object.
