Imp and a shak

Finished the imp for now. Some post photoshop. May get to rendering the cave at some point, yet time for something new.

looks great. only thing i can see is that the feet look a little low-poly and blocky.

Less detail on the feet as is a high polly mesh. Yet I’m still working on getting the right blend.

Mesh Changes would be, bending of the eyebrows back against the head. Ribs to be built around an inner cavity. And detail, just about everywhere I can fit a brush. Hands and feet would be woody and root like.

As I’m never completely happy for falling short of expectations, a new mesh would be more of a head with hands and feet, a sort of character of what I have now. Less body could make way for more interesting place for him to dwell. There may be a way of weaving a bunch of default cubes in to a crystal cavern of sort.

latest render is blender internal done with one ray lamp on right and about four buffers on the left. hb

Few mesh changes yet is time for something new. Finial render with sss and ao. Rendered blender internal and worked a smidge in photoshop.

Nice looking character! He needs little color variation and armature. I would love to see few different poses of the character.

Thanks, I’ll do that. Right now looking for a quick way to do backrounds in an simpler modeling manner. Maybe drawing more and building less.

Easiest thing to do would be to put him in the Sintel’s dragon cave… Is open source, you know

EDIT: And he looks as if he would be happy there…

Couldn’t be hapyer than a pig in shit right now, thinking about so many ways and questions, and ways to go about getting something truely rare. It’s like the gingerbred house that could.

One last look at my wicked cool imp. Bye bye imppy.

Smokey, this is very cool character! If you don’t plan to develop him further, please share him. (blendswap would be ideal place)

Thanks Ristesekuloski for the thought-will consider it. Here is a taste of something I’m working at. lots of photo shop.

Try straightening the horizon, unless you’re specifically going for a crooked look. Anyways, cool stuff!

Thanks so much for the input. The focal point will shift to the abandoned villa- a master work by Claudio Tolomei, thats a fav.

PhotoShop work was done with web photo selections to ps filters. In the future will leave post process as unseen, for true 3d scene rendering.
