Import and arrange objects using coordinates

Hi, been trying to figure out if this is even possible, but as I am very new to coding I think I may be approaching it wrong. What I want to do is:

  1. Read data from an Excel file (block names, coords, and orientation)
  2. Using the file contents, Import the needed objects from an existing library ( .fbx )
  3. Instance and arrange those objects as described in the Excel file.

( imported objects have x,y,z coords. as well as orientations (incline/decline and rotation)

The library I have created is in fbx format, but I’m willing to change that if anyone knows a better way.

I work on a team that designs conveyor systems and my end goal is to be able to generate and visualise a complete system using Blender. Currently this is impossible because each block is imported as a unique object, which causes the scene to be too large too handle. I want to try and develop a script/addon that would enable this, but as it seems fairly advanced, any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

Thanks for any advice
