Import Ascii to Blender 2.65?!

Well I am new here and want to say hello first…

So … now i got a question:

  1. i read that the “faces” are now “trasfaces” ?! this this right?

  2. i got a script to import Ascii to blender but it dotn work:

  3. Is there any way to fix this easy? couse i would love to import my models to blender 2.65 for cycle rendering …

is there really no help ?! noone who could got a clue how to fix this?

  1. nope, it’s .tessfaces, but it is not the same as faces! It is used as tesselation cache, the actual face data is now stored in .polygons (beware, these may be ngons!). See: http://www.blender.org/documentation/blender_python_api_2_66_release/info_gotcha.html#ngons-and-tessellation-faces
  2. of course it fails, since the API changed (see above link)
  3. Rather easy, but depends on your python / bpy scripting knowledge. See stock import scripts, especially the OBJ one.
