I have a model made in 3DMax It has sketal animation. How can I import the model and animation into blender? Can 3D Studio Max Importer handle the animations? Thanks.
The only way I think is to export animation from MAX to BVH, export mesh with weights and bones to COLLADA and import everything to Blender.
I tried to export weighted mesh with animation to COLLADA and Blender failed to import it.Or you can export mesh and animation to Doom 3 MD5 files (md5mesh and md5anim) and import those to Blender. It works for sure.
Why do you need to export mesh, bones and animation from MAX to Blender btw?
