Import multiple files and generate an animation

I am really new with Blender and I need some help to make a movie from some cfd output files.:eek:
I have a sequence of .ply ( or .obj, stl … or other extensions) and I’d like to create a video from these files. I have imported all the files in blender, but I’m looking for a way to put each geometry in a sequence of frames…I have more less 1500 files, so I can’t add manually on the timeline. Is there a way to do that with a python script?:wink:

Thanks in advance,

export out the bash mesh as obj (with no animation)
export out the animation as mdd or pc2

import the obj into blender
add modifier -> mesh cache onto the obj
setup modifier.
