import paths?

When I try to import paths I get a python script error. can anyone tell me what to do to fix this?

First thing to do is read the bleeping error msg and tell us what it says.

all that it says is “python script error. check console.” I get this when I try to import a 3ds file also

What does the console say. If you are on windows the dos window that starts when you start blender, with linux start the program with an xterm, not sure on a Mac.
