I’m trying to import a model from 3DMax to Blender. I tried it with 3ds extension, but I saw that other people was having problems with that too, so I tried with obj extension. Both extensions deform the model and didn’t import the texture.
When I import a 3DS model into Blender.
it works fine and the textures too but are sometimes odd just a bit
Try getting a newer version of updating your Python.
I have no clue how to fix it, but updating the source may help
I haven’t been able to ever go either way with these two programs (Blender to Max, or Max to Blender). If I use an obj and I have some big and small polys, the big ones seem to “unfill” themselves, I always had to have all my polys around the same size, but even then things would get distorted. Try the python upgrade and see if their is any scripts out there that others have created, sometimes they work a little better.
