Import texture from Maya


I’m using Collada to export my model from Maya into Blender. Everything looks good except the texture is not importing.

Any thoughts?


Why don’t you import straight from Maya to Blender as obj?

EDIT: Okay - looks like you’ve got a program that converts more than the mesh (animation and even pysics sim?). This program freely available?
At a guess, I’d say the UVmap would be intact (it is on OBJs) so just get the image files used and link them in afresh as a texture.
