Imported daz character - IK bending at knees - too sharp!

Could anybody provide a solution to this please

I’ve imported a Daz Genesis8 female into blender using the official bridge - which I do like. When moved into a certain pose position, i.e bend at knees. The knees have quite a sharpness and looks off

rendered at sub division level 3 I know the lighting doesn’t help Any suggestions to what I might be doing wrong, maybe import settings?

Welcome :tada:

…well i guess the geometry is not altered by the official addon and surely not by blender… also the armature is pretty much what the official addon do export…

As far as i know DAZ you have to buy some additional corrective shape thingies to correct this… becaus this is the bas buisness idea with DAZ…

And especially the knee topology is a very complex “aparatus” and not easy to rebuild and "correct: animated in a 3D app… :person_shrugging:

Hi and welcome to the forums.
Do some research on Weight Painting. You may need to tweak the weighting on the two bones that meet at the knee. Remove some of the weighting of the shins armature bone perhaps.
If that is not enough…
Do some research on Corrective Shapekeys. Look up shapekeys if you dont know what they are. Corrective shapekeys are adding un-distortion to both the front and back of knees (or any other part of the body) that is added automatically as the limb is bent. You make them yourself. Simple thing once you have done it a couple of times. No need to waste $$$.

Accidentally came acros this…

Did you import your Morphs and corrective Morphs? From the export dialogue?

Make sure to do that and then in Blender, add rigify rig, and most problems like that will disappear…
