Imported models

I got a .obj made in Zbrush from a friend. However, it’s broken up into lots of parts. Some of them merged just fine and made the main body, but the tail doesn’t connect cause of odd poly levels on it. Is there some way I can hook them up so the Textures don’t get all messed up? and rig up as well?

You can try merging vertices. That sometimes allows textures and rigging to remain unchanged, but it depends on the complexity of the model. But if importing as an OBJ, I’d think you won’t be able to save much other than the base mesh information.
