importing 3ds from google to blnder

i already exported but have forgotten how to import the 3ds design to blender from the menu
did i use a plugin? i don’t remember its been so long.

File–>Import–>3D Studio (.3ds)

I find the Collada models from Google work better. If you have the option pick them instead of 3DS.
