Importing ACAD for 3d building

I have either DWG, DXF, or BMP floorpland that I need to make into a 3D building. I don’t want to be tracing walls. I just want to import the file and “extrude” the walls up. No doors or windows, just walls with little or no thickness. if Blender can’t do this is there a reasonable program that can? I downloaded 2.7 and there is no DXF in the import

DXF-importer PE (Personal Edition) can be ordered by the author directly.

(From http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/Import-Export/DXF_Importer)

bmp probably can be traced as a bitmap in Inkscape and further used as svg import in blender. Be prepared for some manual cleaning work though.

if you import into blender wall lines
there is a script that can help make 3D walls !
you can spec wall thickness height corners ect.

I was able to get the importer working but I think this is just too difficult. I’m having trouble aligning the camera and lighting to perfect level. I can’t figure out how to add a floor, etc. Can’t waste too much time when we bill $100/hr. Blender it more than I need. There are several floorplan programs but none can import. Thanks for all your help.

Floor = select floorplan vertices, duplicate, separate them and fill, extrude.
