Importing .dae files from sketchup (Mine seems broken)

I’ve been looking around the net to see if I can find a solution to the issue I’ve been having, and so far no luck.

I’m trying to import Collada files from 3D Warehouse (a sketchup model site).
For some reason I can’t seem to work out what is wrong with mine.
I’ve tested multiple models in Unity, and a standalone model viewer. They seem to be fine, however importing into blender results in this.

I’m just stumped and have no idea what to do.

Update:

I’m trying to do exactly what the person in this video is doing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqWn12IudfA
I used power shell to import, this is my results.

If you can give a link to the above model on Sketchfab, it might help.

I have the same issue. My model loads fine in sketchfab after being exported from SketchUp in Collada format. I get error like above (see below for a snippet of mine).

The model is here: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/campres-dae-b75b1420e843426ba870425e058822e4

What is happening??

I can confirm the import not working right in 2.83 or 2.90, but it imports correctly in 2.79, without re-positioning some items.
Once in, (in 2.79), select everything, (should already be selected actually), press U to make single user and choose object and data. Then scale it by .1 to make it easier to see in the viewport. Alt+P and remove parent keep transform. Ctrl+a apply all transforms and you should be good to go.
You’ll still have a shed-load of work to do though tidying up the geometry.
