Importing models

This is not the first model I’m trying to import, but some of them end up as giant spheres rather than models.
I download and try to import .glb/.gltf models from SketchFab. Most are imported perfectly, but some end up like this blob from the screenshot. I don’t understand the issue at all, I don’t even understand if it’s an issue from original modeller, or on my side.
Please please please explain why does this happen and if it’s fixable ^^*

I’m not 100% sure, but it doesn’t seem to matter how many polygons are there. Neither it doesn’t seem to matter if it’s animated or rigged, or textured. Most models get imported perfectly, but some look like this. I have no idea what’s going wrong whatsoever.

Welcome :tada:

this might be some sky sphere for some “background” (?) image… anyway: there seems some more, so go into edit mode and select one of those ico sphere via L while hovering over it and hide H to have a look “underneath” it.

It could also be bones if the model is rigged, I have seen this happen before…

If it does have a rig, then you can select it in object mode, enter edit, and scale them all at once…

I just came across this myself. @RSEhlers was right, it’s the bones. Blender also gives a setting to change the visual size of the bones when importing, but of course you can just do what he said and scale all the bones after importing (make sure to use individual origins).
