Importing SVG Assets from Affinity Designer into Blender

I am looking for a good workflow for importing SVG assets from Affinity Designer, and posted the question on their forum. The single response I got so far has given me some ideas to try, but I am sharing it here to see if anyone has come up with a good workflow for this.

Looking at the other thread, I agree with the last poster. Export your outlines as an .svg and export your colors as a .png. once in blender, convert the .svg into polygons and uv map the colored texture. once the pieces are mapped, you can then separate out the individual letters and animate.
