When I try to import a makehuman export file type .OBJ from the file>import its not there. Only 4 imports are there: vrml, dxr, videoscape and stl…
Yet it says there is a long list of importers and exporters with the new blender. Anybody else have this challenge?
Or know how to fix it? Any help appreciated.
Thank you.
I posted this under python, and that may be the wrong place so am posting it here. I dont know how to delete a post. Sorry.
Sounds like you’re missing your Python scripts. What about other menus, like the UVs menu in the UV/Image Editor…are there some there? If not, then your install did not install the scripts, and you’ll have to get them…probably by re-installing 2.42. What version are you using? If you have a new install of the 2.43 RC, they may not be packaged yet.
The MH are Wavefront (.obj) files. it works, but you should have all others. Either that directory got wiped or you changed the location in your User prefs…
Thank you. I have 2.42a I downloaded it maybe 3 weeks ago or so I think.
I dont understand blender enough to know where they are under Uv. I tried looking after reading online there were scripts there. But I didnt find any, if I looked correctly.
For instance if I look under tools, and click curve a little widget window opens and only has the header in it at the top, nothing else. I guessed that a script was to run there and doesnt.
Im sorry, I am so new to this stuff. The last script I ran/coded was in java about 6 years ago! And before that? in 89.
I just want to import a makehuman file to use in blender and cant figure it out without the import in the menu. LOL, woe is me.
I have a script to open and run in the edit window, but it doesnt work and stops on the first line. SMILE. SMILE.
I dont even know where the scripts are in blender to see if I have changed the path? But I will look further.
Thank you very much for responding to my challenge. I really appreciate it.
Kisses to you! and more kisses…
I downdloaded the win version that says install, instead of the one that says zip( which is the one I used) and all those scripts are there.
